Your car must be 30 years of age or older.
Membership of the Newcastle District Vintage & Classic Car Club Inc. is extended to any individual
who accept the objectives and rules of the Club.
Club Objectives:

Without limiting generality of any of the objectives of the Club, the objectives of the Club are:

-                       Sponsor and encourage the restoration and preservation of Motor Vehicles

The term Motor Vehicle refers to all forms of motorised road transport, including Cars, Trucks and Motor Cycles.

-                       Form a group of owners of Motor Vehicles who shall subscribe to these objectives

-                       Engage in rallies, exhibitions and other events suitable for Motor Vehicles.

-                       Establish and foster correct use and maintenance techniques for Motor Vehicles and show, by example, general motor safety.

-                       Promote a better and wide knowledge and understanding of motor vehicles among both Club members and the general public.

-                       Offer the services of the Club, its members and vehicles, to charitable organisations as occasion arises

-                       Encourage the retention of Vintage Motor Vehicles

-                       Promote a spirit of fellowship and goodwill among members, however Political and Secretarian views shall not be expressed .

-                       Establish and maintain a library of Motoring books and memorabilia

Club Rules:

Before Membership may be obtained:
The applicant must complete an   Application for Membership   form and MUST attend at least three [3] club meetings and/or events before their application can be processed by the Management committee.

Members fees $60 + $15 for a badge. Total $75
Members fees $30 + $15 for a badge. Total $45
Additional badge - $15 each

  Benefits of Membership

-                       The Club is a member of two State and one Federal body, which gives it a say in the Old Car Movement in Australia

-                       Social activities such as Rallies, BBQs, Displays, Swap Meetings nad Garage Inspections are held regularly

-                       Technical advice is available to members to help in the restoration or maintenance of old and classic vehicles as well as advice in locating spares and services or the purchase of restored or unrestored vehicles

-                       Moral support from other members is forthcoming, especially when you become frustrated with progress on a restoration

-                       A monthly magazine Old Timer News is published by the Club and posted to every financial member. The magazine contains club news and events information, technical articles, advertisements for vehicles and  parts wanted or for sale, as well as items of interest for Old Car Buffs.   The magazine is exchanged with some forty other clubs which helps members keep in touch with the while old car scene throughout Australia.

-                       A comprehensive library is available to Club Members. The library contains many manuals, technical publications and catalogues pertaining to old cars.

Club Meetings:

The Newcastle Branch General Meeting of the Club is held each month at:

On the THIRD WEDNESDAY NIGHT commencing at 7:30pm, to deal with Club business and enjoy the company of members and visitors.

Routine business is dealt with by the Management Committee which meets on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each month.     

Any member may attend the Management Committee meeting as an observer.

The December meeting is held on the SECOND Wednesday in December due to Christmas break.

There is no Management Committee meeting in January for the same reason.

The Annual General meeting of the Parent Club is held in conjunction with the January General meeting.
